Born in Guatemala and raised on Vancouver Island, Robin Ramos and his family moved to Vancouver in 2000-a city in which he found the opportunity to work alongside his father and master his skills and industry knowledge in the painting trade. After 5 years of training and specializing in high-rise rope access work, Robin founded West Pacific Services Ltd. in 2012.
Robin owes many thanks to mentors who offered their time to train him and hone in his skills. Building and maintaining relationships is at the core of Robin's practice. The well being of his family pushed Robin's desire to expand his business. After many years of working in the field and a steady increase in business, Robin decided to bring on a partner. Together, they strive to make their community look even more beautiful.
Mike Penate has been in the construction industry since high school - first on the tools as a roofer, then transitioning to sales, admin, and project management. The eagerness to learn, the ability to cultivate business relationships and the attention to detail required to thrive in the contracting industry has led Mike to succeed in the many branches of this business.
Born in El Salvador and raised in Vancouver, Mike has seized many opportunities to grow, learn and explore the many trades in the city. After more than a decade of friendship and working in the same industry, Robin and Mike became business partners. Together they are taking West Pacific Services to a new level of excellence while making The Westpac a household name.
Mike enjoys meeting new people and is very active in network associations such as BNI. When he is not working, you will find him on a patio enjoying a coffee or a craft beer, playing soccer or camping.
Melqui Ramos is the Project coordinator at West Pacific Services. As telling people what to do is his strongest character feature, he is in charge of planning and organizing our different trades and teams to ensure all jobs run smoothly. Raised in East Vancouver, his first job was in exterior high rise painting with his father. These early years gave Melqui the exposure to the world of construction. His creative nature led him down the path of Interior design where he attended School at BCIT whilst working as a millworker. He is also the younger brother of the owner of WPS. They have always helped each other out when they could, which has now led them to be working together.
During his free time he runs an interior design company and creates and sells artwork.
